At the start of the Project 2 module, our group was tasked with designing a system in which we would securely transfer a surgical instrument to an autoclave bin for sterilization and future use. With the given objective we split into two different sub-teams—computing and modelling. On the computing sub-team, we were tasked with producing a computer program that interacted with the Quanser Interactive Labs environment using EMG sensors values to complete cycles of picking, transferring, and dropping containers based on their size. While on the modelling sub-team we were tasked with designing an appropriate container that can secure our tool and facilitate sterilization.
