The primary and secondary MPIs were calculated, the top materials were then chosen from Granta based on their MPIs, and lastly the top material for the project was chosen based on the decision matrix.
The deflection was estimated using the given formulas and a solid model of the turbine blade was made using inventor.
Each member calculated the estimated deflection of its given scenario using the assigned thickness and a simulation was done using inventor to find the optimal blade thickness. And in the end our results were compared with another group
